new york giants

The Sports World's "Mission Impossible" for the next couple of weeks is given to the New York Giants. How do they defeat the undefeated New England Patriots at Super Bowl XLII? They have two weeks to complete the mission.

"We haven't been given a shot, but we're here and I think we're deserving of it," New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning said. Maybe they can do it.  After all they led the New England Patriots by 12 points in the third quarter before falling 38-35 on December 29. Brett Favre, Green Bay Packers' quarterback said, "Heck, they could win two weeks from now.  I wouldn't put it past them."

It was interesting that New York Giants' place kicker didn't wait for the go ahead for the final 47 yard field goal.  He had already missed at two times and wasn't very popular at that point. Failure didn't stop him and Tynes sprinted onto the field on the fourth down in overtime and his holder, Jeff Feagles, saw him run and grabbed his helmet and sprinted also. Tom Coughlin, New York Giants' coach was helpless to stop them and simply stood on the sidelines and hoped. Tynes made it this time.  His holder Feagles, had been a punter for 20 years and had never been to a Super Bowl! Now the whole team was on its way!

The New York Giants need to figure accomplish their "Mission Impossible" and win over the New England Patriots at Super Bowl XLII! Maybe they will!
