NFL Sunday Night Football will be on the web in September with a deal struck with NBC. This will be the first time that NFL football has made entire games available on the internet. Additional camera angles, in-game highlights,picture-in-picture technology, live statistics and other interactive elements will be online features.

Thursday, September 4 at 7 pm will begin the NFL Kickoff 2008, when the Redskins play the New York Giants. NFL.com and NBCSports.com will feature audio play-by-play, analysis and sideline reports.  Also included will be in-game studio updates from NBC Football Night in America and the NFL Network.

Dick Ebersol, chairman of NBC Universal Sports & Olympics stated, "Now, together with the NFL, we are adding the livestreaming element where users can interact with the broadcast to enhance their experience."

This will be  a one-year experimental agreement, where NFL football can gauge the most popular features, particularly among the younger viewers who search for most of their entertainment online.
